Light matters

Light is fundamental to create moods and shape visuals in specific ways. Using natural light can work, but you don't want to be limited to available light. After all, photography means "writing with light", and with no control of it, we have no authorship. As you'll realise, it makes a big difference. This also means that I can setup the lighting that best suit you and your brand.

Complete service

My experience as product photographer means I know how to use lighting best, and how to make any object look good. This is not to be underestimated, whether it's the decor and tools of your trade, or whether you products images need upgraded too and included in your video. You definitely don't want a fabolously shot video that includes low quality images of your products or underwhelming compositions.

What is your average project value?

As a newly launched service, I'm currently running promotions on video production, up to over 50% off. This offer includes preproduction (from storyboarding or a fairly detailed content plan), up to 5 hours shooting a mix of photography and video at your location, and the whole editing process (from selecting clips to syncing audio, arranging all photography and video in a timeline that is engaging and makes sense as planned, adding transitions and captions If required and rendering). The average project value of my video services is £1200 (+ any travel and other additional costs when applicable).

What equipment do you use?

I have Elinchrom and Rotolight continuous lighting kits, to suit sets of different sizes and any colour light required! I use Canon EOS R to record HD and 4K videos in high detail with amazing subject detection and silky smooth details. The Canon RF 50mm lenses captures wonderfully detailed images in the phenomenal colours Canon is known for. Any additional equipment required to achieve certain visual effects can be hired - we will discuss options and agree any extras in advance.

What are some possible extra costs?

Depending on the type of video required, additional costs can vary greatly. Location, equipment rental, models or other talent, travel, accomodation, substenance. Music for your video should also be taken in great consideration and ideally defined in advance. Any of these costs will be discussed and agreed in advance. For most projects, it's all included but the odd travel expenses.

What is the turnaround?

The lenght and complexity of your video project will affect turnaround. However, I will check with you when you need the project completed by so we can make sure I can deliver by the deadline.

What are your payment terms?

Generally a 50% advance of the estimated total costs will be required to confirm the booking, unless the project value is very small (under £300), where I usually invoice for the total to be paid all upfront. Once I finished editing I will send you a link to view your video. Once we have discussed any changes or approved this first version, I will send you a final invoice inclusive of all additioanl costs, If any, arisen during production or editing. This invoice is due within 7 days. Once I have received payment, I will apply any changes required and deliver the final video. I am happy to discuss other payment terms for large projects.
